Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg’s activism began at home, by persuading her parents to reduce their own carbon footprint.  Her public activism began by organizing school strikes for climate change. The number of strikes per year has grown from 135 to over 2 million.  Greta does not fly due to the high carbon footprint air travel leaves behind. She characterized herself as “only speaking when necessary”.
